Russ joined D.A. Davidson in 2016 after the former SMITH HAYES, where he served on the board of directors, merged with D.A. Davidson. Russ favors simple, conservative investment strategies that are sensitive to expenses and taxes while stressing discipline and patience. He works with clients to define their financial goals and constructs portfolios to help meet those goals. Russ began his financial service career in 1980 as a financial advisor with the Wall Street-based firm of Bache Halsey Stuart Shields. Originally from London, Russ attended Creighton University and the University of Nebraska Omaha, graduating with degrees in English and economics. He was heavily influenced by the investment philosophies of Ben Graham, Warren Buffett and Peter Lynch, eventually teaching courses at U.N.O focusing on these philosophies.

Russ and his wife, Mary Ann, enjoy traveling, especially to Colorado where their two sons currently live.

Susan’s background as an attorney, working mom, wife, landlord, and volunteer enhances her perspective when advising her clients. Prior to becoming a Financial Advisor, she practiced law for nearly nine years in the areas of estate planning and representing closely held businesses.

Susan graduated, cum laude, from the University of Nebraska Omaha with majors in Business Finance and Banking and Financial Markets. She received her law degree from Creighton University School of Law, cum laude, with a concentration in Business, Taxation, and Commercial Transactions. She also holds the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® designation.

Susan and her husband Jim have two children. Susan enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, audiobooks, and her 5am HIIT classes. She also serves on the boards of several local nonprofit organizations and has been a member of Rotary since 2011.

Ryan joined the Brady/Iwansky Group, now Blueprint Financial Advisors, in 2017 to help guide clients in preserving and growing assets over multiple generations. Ryan is focused on establishing a two-way communication process with clients to simplify their financial lives and provide guidance through life’s transitions. Ryan strives to provide a concierge-level service by understanding each person’s financial goals and fine-tuning their plan to help keep it on track.

Prior to joining D.A. Davidson, Ryan spent 12 years helping Fortune 1000 companies implement programs to secure their information technology assets. He began his professional career in Omaha at Union Pacific Railroad and later worked in various consulting and solution architect roles servicing clients throughout the country. Ryan graduated with highest honors from the University of Nebraska at Omaha’s Peter Kiewit Institute. He grew up in Columbus and currently resides outside of Blair with his wife, Cassie, and children, Davis, Camden and Lydia. His interests include camping, golfing and traveling.

Sarah brings more than two decades of experience within financial services, spanning areas such as analytics, portfolio management, and wealth planning. Born and raised in Omaha, she obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Finance and Banking and her M.B.A. from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She received the CFA^® (Chartered Financial Analyst^®) designation in 2010 and CFP^® (CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^®) certification in 2022. She has a passion for financial markets and helping individuals and families achieve their financial objectives. Outside of the office, Sarah enjoys traveling, going to concerts, and spending time with her husband, Shane and their three rescue dogs. She's also an avid Peloton user and reader of psychological thriller books.

Jackson started his D.A. Davidson journey as a Staff Aide in February 2023 and came on full-time as a Client Associate in December 2023. He’s an Omaha native who graduated summa cum laude from the UNO College of Business Administration with a degree in Finance, Investment Science, and Portfolio Management. Before D.A. Davidson, Jackson worked at Apple for two years where he was able to develop his passion for teaching people how to use technology and solving problems. He and his wife Lexi live in Elkhorn with their dog, Kenny, and cat, Eddie. Outside of work, Jackson enjoys playing saxophone around town with various professional jazz groups, learning more about technology, and reading non-fiction.
